On the 25th of December 2025, the heart of Kandy was transformed into a high-octane hub of automotive excellence and entertainment as Gearheads ‘25 took over Sahas Uyana. This large-scale motor show, which ran from 9:00 AM until midnight, successfully merged the thrill of automotive culture with a deep-rooted commitment to social responsibility. The event was a paradise for automotive enthusiasts, featuring an impressive display of classic vehicles, modified builds, and jaw-dropping stunt shows. As the sun set, the atmosphere shifted into a high-energy after-party, headlined by live performances from popular artists, including Kaizer Kaiz. What truly set Gearheads ‘25 apart was its dedication to the community. In a powerful display of the “Rotaract spirit,” a portion of the ticket income was allocated toward flood relief efforts to support families and communities affected by recent disasters. Our club served as the main Community Partner for this initiative, collaborating closely with the Interact Club of St. Sylvester’s College. The success of the event was measured not just by the roar of the engines, but by the achievement of its core objectives: providing a platform for student-led initiatives, ensuring public safety, and laying the groundwork for Gearheads to become a recurring flagship event. Gearheads ‘25 proved that when passion and purpose collide, the result is an unforgettable experience that drives real change in the community.
