The Rotaract Club of Kandy stands as one of the oldest and most prestigious pillars of Rotary International District 3220. Chartered on the 16th of April 1986, our club carries a legacy of nearly four decades defined by excellence, dedication, and service.
Throughout our proud history, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to uplifting the community through diverse and impactful initiatives. More than just a service organisation, the club has served as a crucible for leadership, moulding and grooming passionate individuals who have gone on to achieve personal success while remaining dedicated to the spirit of "Service Above Self."
Today, we continue to hold the Rotaract spirit high, building on our heritage to inspire the next generation of change-makers.

The Rotaract Club of Kandy is a brainchild of Charter Member Mr. Kiridaran Kanagarathnam. The club was started on 27th September 1985 as the Rotaract Club of Kandy and was officially chartered on the 16th of April 1986 under the leadership of Charter President Ameerali Ibrahim.
From its very first day, the club has remained highly active and committed to service. Over the past 40 years, the club has been led by 42 leaders who have guided it with dedication and excellence. The club has consistently contributed to shaping outstanding leaders within the Rotaract Movement.
Standing as a pillar of strength in District 3220, the club has earned recognition as one of its most outstanding entities. Notably, it has received the RI District Citation for 22 consecutive years starting from 2005/2006.
Today, the Rotaract Club of Kandy stands strong as a club built on unity, a rich history of service, and a continuous commitment to the values of the Rotaract movement.
With a powerful legacy spanning 40 years, the Rotaract Club of Kandy continues to stand as a pillar of leadership and service in District 3220. Since its charter in 1986, the club has served as a breeding ground for exceptional leaders who have significantly shaped the Rotaract movement and later transitioned into Rotary.
The club's journey is marked by historic milestones and a strong commitment to excellence, which has resulted in receiving the RI District Citation for 22 consecutive years.
A key milestone in the club's history is hosting the 2nd District Assembly in Kandy, a landmark event that contributed to the growth and development of the Rotaract movement in the region.
Through decades of signature initiatives and unwavering unity, the club continues to honor its past while driving sustainable change for the future.
