In a powerful demonstration that “Kindness Knows No Borders,” the Rotaract Club of Kandy (RID 3220) and the Rotaract Club of K.C. College (RID 3141) joined hands this holy month to serve as a form of support for those in need. Rays of Hope was a cross-border initiative focused on food security and community welfare. Recognizing the challenges faced by underprivileged families during the month of Ramadan, both clubs collaborated to ensure these families could observe their fast with dignity and a full plate. Through the collective generosity of donors from both Sri Lanka and India, the clubs successfully distributed essential dry rations and food packs. This project carries a special significance as it marks a milestone in the growing partnership between the two clubs. Rotaract Kandy and Rotaract K.C. Food Security: Successfully provided essential dry rations and food packs to underprivileged families in Kandy and Mumbai, ensuring they could observe the month of Ramadan with adequate nutrition and reduced financial stress. Community Dignity: Delivered aid through a “privacy-first” approach, ensuring that beneficiaries received support without compromising their personal dignity or religious observance. Long-Term Impact Twin Club Foundation: Served as a successful “Proof of Concept” for the partnership between Rotaract Kandy and Rotaract K.C.
