The second phase of the Isle of Beauty project was successfully concluded, marking yet another milestone in the international service journey of the Rotaract Club of Kandy. Conducted alongside a meaningful Letterhead Exchange, the event proudly welcomed the participation of DRR and RDS from Rotary International District 2982, India, strengthening the growing friendship with Sri Lanka. This phase created a wonderful platform to deepen international bonds, celebrate cultural diversity, and embody the true spirit of Rotaract fellowship. The visiting delegation was warmly hosted through a thoughtfully curated experience showcasing the cultural and social charm of Kandy. The day began with a relaxed fellowship visit to local cafés, allowing members and guests to connect in an informal and friendly atmosphere. The highlight of the visit was the official Letterhead Exchange held at the sacred Sri Dalada Maligawa, symbolizing goodwill, unity, and the promise of future collaboration between the districts. Following the formalities, the delegation was taken on an enriching tour of the Kandy Museum, offering deeper insight into Sri Lanka’s rich heritage and a tour of Sahas Uyana. The program concluded on a warm and hospitable note with lunch hosted at Mandiya - Authentic Rice & Curry, where members shared fellowship and strengthened personal connections. Phase II of the Isle of Beauty project stands as another proud moment for the club, reflecting Rotaract’s power to bridge cultures and build lasting international friendships.
