The spirit of Rotaract truly knows no borders, and recently, the Rotaract Club of Kandy had the distinct pleasure of hosting Past Rtr. Gowtham and his family from RID 3201 for a day defined by international fellowship and cultural exchange. The visit was a heartfelt journey through the soul of Kandy. To give our guests a true taste of the Hill Capital, we took them on a curated tour of the city’s most iconic locations, sharing the history and heritage that make our home so unique. The afternoon reached a vibrant peak as we attended a traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance show, where the rhythmic drums and traditional artistry offered a stunning display of Sri Lankan pride. The day concluded with a formal yet warm Letterhead Exchange, a symbolic gesture representing the unity and shared vision between our clubs. This exchange serves as a reminder that we are part of a global family dedicated to the same ideals of service and friendship. To wrap up the evening, the Kandy Rotaractors hosted our guests for dinner, where stories were shared, and new bonds were forged over a meal. Opportunities like these highlight the core of what we do—building friendships, celebrating diversity, and working hand-in-hand for a brighter tomorrow. It was an honor to host Past Rtr. Gowtham and his family, leaving us with a renewed sense of the global Rotaract spirit.
