On the 1st of August 2025, Rtn. Vadivel Surendran, a proud Past President of the Rotaract Club of Kandy who currently serves as the Chairman of Rotaract for the Rotary Club of Gummidipoondi (RI District 3234) bridged a new fellowship between the Rotaract Club of Kandy and Rotaract Club of TJS College of Arts and Science. We recognized that the Rotaract Club of TJS College of Arts and Science, as a newly charted Rotaract Club, required fundamental resources to formalize its operations. And so, the Rotaract Club of Kandy extended its support by providing a Presidential Collar and Gavel. In handing over these symbols, we echoed Rotary International’s own goals for expansion. This initiative demonstrated that fellowship is not a static concept, but a deliberate, constructive force. One gavel strike in their hall now carries the support of our own. One collar worn there bears the unwritten welcome of a club an island away.
