The beauty of a tapestry lies in its many threads, and this year, Rotaract has brought together the vibrant colors of Sri Lanka’s diverse cultures to weave a masterpiece of unity. Ekaමුතූ is a celebration where different traditions, languages, and festivals converge to prove that we are indeed stronger in our diversity. The journey commenced on the 26th of October 2025 in the coastal heart of the East. Phase I was dedicated to celebrating Deepavali in Trincomalee, spreading joy, unity, and service far beyond geographic boundaries. The day was a profound immersion into the festival of lights, hosted at the Rotary Centre, where the atmosphere was thick with the spirit of fellowship and mutual respect. It was more than just a formal event; it was an entire day dedicated to cultural celebration and exploration. Members spent the day touring the iconic landmarks of Trincomalee, experiencing the local heritage firsthand while building bonds that transcended regional lines. From the vibrant rituals of Deepavali to the shared laughter while exploring the town, Phase I proved that when we celebrate the light in each other, we create a glow that can be seen across the entire nation. As we look forward to the next phases, the memories of Trincomalee stand as a powerful testament to the unity we strive to protect.
