Have you ever stopped to consider that the strength of a chain isn’t just in its metal, but in how tightly the links are fused together? In the pursuit of impactful service and community building, it is easy to become a group of individuals working toward a goal. But on the 28th of December 2025, the Rotaract Club of Kandy set aside the “work” to focus on the “well-being” of the collective. Gathered at the serene Mahaweli View Bungalow at 9:00 AM onwards, we launched Project Circle - an initiative dedicated entirely to the spirit of Club Service and the beauty of togetherness. It was a time to acknowledge that while we strive to change the world around us, we are also being changed by the people standing next to us. By focusing on Club Service, we ensured that the Circle remained unbroken, resilient, and most importantly, happy. By the end of the day, the air felt lighter. We left the bungalow not just as colleagues in service, but as a family. Project Circle reminded us that the time we spend enjoying each other’s company isn’t “time off” - it is an investment in the very heart of the club. When we nurture our internal bonds, we create a foundation strong enough to support any challenge the new year might bring.
