The Rotaract Club of Kandy reached a significant milestone this year, celebrating its historic 42nd Installation Ceremony, held on November 2nd at the Grand Kandyan Hotel. This vibrant event served as a tribute to the club’s long-standing legacy while officially ushering in the 2025-26 term under the leadership of the new President, Rtn. Rtr. Jameema Rafaideen. The ceremony was graced by District Governor Rtn. Delvin Pereira as the Chief Guest. His presence held deep sentimental value for the club, as he is a revered charter member of the Rotaract Club of Kandy. The head table further reflected this rich heritage, featuring prominent past presidents including PHF Rtn. Capt. Ravindra Thammita (President of the Rotary Club of Kandy) and Assistant District Rotaract Chair Rtn. IPP Mohomed Rehan. They were joined by District Rotaract Representative Rtr. PP Nazmi Mahamood. The evening was a sparkling display of fellowship, bringing together Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Interactors from across the island. As the club embarks on this new chapter with the guiding conviction of “Purpose, Passion, Impact” the Kandy family is more energized than ever to unite for good and continue its mission of service.
